“We gather to weep and to remember; to laugh and to contemplate; to learn and to affirm and to imagine. To wonder at technical dexterity, and to incarnate gods. To catch our collective breath at our capacity for beauty and compassion and monstrosity. We come to be energized, and to be empowered. To celebrate the wealth of our various cultures, and to dissolve the boundaries that divide us.”
— Brett Bailey, International Theatre Day message 2014

Audience - you - doesn't know whether we feel. Five actors. Light designer. Director. Set designer. Dramaturge. Maybe someone else. Maybe someone is missing. All that unites us is that we have come together tonight. Here. On this stage. We won't leave in the next two-and-a-half hours. We are together. The stage is a safe zone and a danger zone at the same time. Anything can happen.

One more thing – SAFE ZONE premiered on November 21st 2018. In the fall of 2019 another SAFE ZONE comes to life – SAFE ZONE 2.0, if you will. Every performance is unique trail of success and failure.

SAFE ZONE is an invitation.
SAFE ZONE is a reunion.
SAFE ZONE is the opening performance of Paide Theatre.

Performer Johannes Richard Sepping's thoughts:

“The people in the audience are as important ast the actors, the director, the set designer, the lighting technician, the producer. We are not cult, we are not politicians, we are who we are. Live in the moment, mothafucka.”

“It's okay if you don't like something. I, for example, don't like fish. So what. The doors are shut. Not locked. You can leave, usually people do. We just don't recommend it. In the end there's a pretty cool moment. If you recognize it, tell your neighbour. Afterwards you can compare if you think alike.”

“I'm an actor, everything I say might not be true. If I tell you, I love you, I might not mean it. But then again, I might. Hehe. I like that job.”
